Bold & Edgy Makeup Look
I posted this look on my Instagram and got a great response! So I wanted to share the details of this look on Meg B Beauty! I am a lover of Bold & Edgy makeup and this look fits perfectly into that category. Keep reading below for the details on this look! Oh, and if you haven’t yet, Click here to follow me on Instagram!
Face-
Primer: I used MAC Primer to prep my skin and cover pores to give makeup a nice smooth finish.
Foundation: I applied Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation in Shade Sun Beige 106 on my face with a Beauty Blender Sponge to give a flawless airbrush finish.
Concealer: I applied NYX HD Concealer in shade 06 under my eyes creating a triangle shape and down the tip of my nose and blended with a beauty blender sponge. I set the under eye area concealer by spraying MAC Fix Plus on my sponge and blending.
Bronzer: I lightly applied Smashbox Bronzer-Sunkissed Matte to the apples of my cheeks. I didn’t go for a blush for this look but instead wanted a bronzy glow. I also applied on the temples of my forehead, along top of hair line and along jaw line and on the neck.
Contour: I applied MAC Powder-Sculpt with a contour angled brush to the hallows of my cheeks, again drawing the brush up towards hair line. I didn’t go too heavy on the contour for this look.
Highlight: I lightly applied Laura Mercier Highlighter above my cheek bones. I also applied lightly down bridge of my nose and to the cupids bow with my finger tip. Be careful not to over do this unless you are going for an ultra sheen look.
Eyes-
Eyeshadow Base: I applied MAC paint pot-Painterly to lids as a base for my eyeshadow.
Shadow: I lightly blended NARS shadow Galapagos (brown with gold flecks) in the corner and crease of the eye using a MAC 217 Blending Brush. I carefully blended up towards the brow instead of just in the crease to make inner eyes look larger. Next I applied NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in color Milk on the lid and inner eye area and blended with my finger. I then applied MAC Shadow Vanilla to the lid.
Tip: Use blender brush to fix any areas that need blending.
Liner: I used a a nude eyeliner along bottom water line to make eyes pop.
Lashes: I applied Loreal Power Volume 24 hr Mascara to both top and bottom lashes. I went natural for the lashes this time. I opted for a more natural lash but you could use false lashes for this look as well.
Lips:
I used NYX Instense Butter Gloss in the color Berry Strudel. This bright Purple shade is what I believe completes this Edgy look! The gloss is gorgeous and definitely a statement! So be brave ladies and try it at least once!
